JUNIOR ASSISTANT

(AGES 14-15)

DC Way’s Junior Assistant position is where young enthusiasts, aged 14-15, can step into a crucial role, contributing to the seamless operations of our diverse soccer sessions. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the soccer scene, the Junior Assistant position is your gateway to taking on responsibilities essential to becoming a DC Way Coach.

Junior Assistants play a pivotal role in each session, serving as a voice of encouragement to players and campers, managing supplies, and even taking on refereeing responsibilities. This hands-on experience allows Junior Assistants to develop vital skills such as communication, confidence, and decisiveness.

Junior Assistants have the added advantage of earning volunteer hours for school. We understand the importance of community engagement and academic recognition, and we encourage our Junior Assistants to leverage their passion for soccer to contribute to their personal and intellectual growth. In addition to gaining volunteer hours, this is a paid position.

As part of their development, Junior Assistants will have the valuable opportunity to learn from experienced coaches, further honing their skills and building upon the foundation established during their Counselor-in-Training program. This exposure prepares them for the advanced responsibilities of the Assistant Coach level.

As Junior Assistants, participants begin to master effective communication and leadership skills, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all campers and players. It's a dynamic and engaging role providing a unique mentorship and practical experience.
