Your child will spend the summer learning soccer the Brazilian way – with creativity, joy, and skill. Our Brazilian Way Camp combines authentic coaching from experienced Brazilian coaches with the energy and style that makes Brazilian soccer special.

Kids will work on footwork, dribbling moves, and goal-scoring techniques inspired by legends like Pelé, Marta, Ronaldinho, Formiga, and Ronaldo. Between soccer sessions, campers explore Brazilian culture through activities, games, and traditions.

Dates: June 16 – August 21 (Monday-Friday)
  • Week 1: June 16, 19 (2-day camp)  |  Week 2: June 22-26
  • Week 5: July 13-17 | Week 6: July 20-24

  • Week 9: August 10-14  |  Week 10: August 17-21

*Please note: Our Brazilian Way Camp is not running during Week 4 (July 6-10). Our campers have been moved to Hill Center and Chisholm Elementary School for that week. You are welcome to register for either of those locations for Week 4.

Time: Before Care 8-9 am | Camp 9-3 pm | After Care 3-5:30 pm

Ages: Boys and Girls 3-12 years old (Ages 3-4 should be potty trained and able to follow simple directions.)

Location: Brazilian Way Camp is held at Stuart-Hobson Middle School and Ludlow-Taylor Elementary School. Both locations are part of the same camp. Depending on the week or day, your child may be at either location. We will communicate any location details in advance so your family always knows where to go.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up: Ebenezers Community Room (201 F St NE, Washington, DC 20002)

*All drop-off and pick-up will be from Ebenezers Community Room for our Stuart-Hobson/Ludlow camp. For parking, please use the private events door on the F Street side, which leads directly downstairs.

What to Bring: Water bottle, hat, sunblock, shin guards, cleats/sneakers, lunch, and snacks

*We are an electronics-free camp. Cell phones, tablets, and smart watches should be left at home.

Youth Leadership Programs: We offer CIT (ages 12-13) and Junior Assistant (ages 14-18) positions. Real experience, volunteer hours, and leadership skills. Click here to register.

What do we offer at Brazilian Way Camp?

Brazilian Way Camp offers authentic soccer training from experienced Brazilian coaches. Kids learn technical skills, creative dribbling, and freestyle moves inspired by Brazilian legends like Pelé, Ronaldo, and Marta. Beyond soccer, campers explore Brazilian culture through Portuguese phrases, cultural activities, and learning about Brazil’s soccer history. It’s Jogo Bonito – the beautiful game – taught the way it’s meant to be played.

Who can participate?

Ages 3-12, all skill levels welcome. For our youngest campers (ages 3-4), we ask that they be potty trained and able to follow basic instructions.

Who are the coaches?

DC Way coaches are certified soccer coaches who are passionate about working with kids. Every member of our staff brings a positive approach to coaching, a love for the game, and the experience to back it up. All coaches have passed mandatory background checks, have at least two years of experience working with children, and are First Aid certified.

What are the benefits?

Your child will improve their soccer skills while learning creativity and self-expression on the field. They’ll build confidence, make new friends, and experience a different culture through soccer. The Brazilian style emphasizes joy, teamwork, and individual flair – skills that help both on and off the field. Plus, they’ll stay active all day and come home tired but happy.

What should my child bring and wear?

All players should bring a water bottle, shin guards, sneakers, cleats, a hat, sunblock, snacks, and lunch (for full-day campers). Players younger than 6 years should wear tennis or athletic shoes (cleats are not needed).

We recommend applying sunscreen and bug spray at home in the morning. Staff will help reapply sunscreen in the afternoon.

Please note: We are an electronics-free camp. Cell phones, tablets, and smart watches should be left at home.
