Welcome to Chisholm Adventure & Soccer Summer Camp, an exciting and energetic summer experience for curious, active young players who love to move, play, and connect! Since 2015, Chisholm Elementary has been home to DC Way’s very first Summer Camp. This year, it returns with a fresh energy and a theme that celebrates creativity, community, and soccer adventures. Our camp is more than just a drop-off; it’s a local experience designed for families who want their children to be active, engaged, and excited every single day.

At Adventure & Soccer Camp, every day is a new journey. Young athletes explore the joy of soccer, build friendships, and discover confidence through imaginative games, team challenges, and structured play – all in a safe, welcoming environment right in the heart of Capitol Hill!

A Week of Daily Adventures

Camp DaysActivities
Monday: Team Chemistry & Responsibility Day Campers begin the week by getting to know each other through fun icebreaker games, sharing their interests, and learning the camp rules and routines. Focus: Teamwork, communication, responsibility, coordination, and ball control.
Tuesday: Soccer Intelligence Day A day dedicated to smart decision-making, spacing, and learning how to think like a pro during the game. Campers play fun strategy-based games and puzzles that teach them how to read the field and work together. Focus: Awareness, positioning, and problem-solving.
Wednesday: Creativity Day / Crazy Hair or Socks Day Campers are encouraged to let their personalities shine by coming dressed in wild hairstyles or funky socks! This spirited day celebrates self-expression and imagination. Campers will engage in imaginative games and fun footwork challenges. Focus: Creativity, self-expression, and speed.
Thursday: Jersey Day – Superhero or Superstar Style Everyone shows up in their favorite soccer jersey or superhero outfit and takes on exciting speed and shooting challenges. Focus: Shooting, 1v1 moves, speed, and reaction.
Friday: Team Spirit Day The big finale with World Cup games and Coaches vs. CITs, plus MVPs and cheer competitions. Focus: Strategy, team spirit, problem-solving, and fun!

 

What To Bring:

What Makes Each Day Special

  • Monday: Campers break the ice with fun games, share their interests, and learn camp routines to start the week with connection and confidence.
  • Tuesday: Campers take on strategy-based games and “think like a pro” challenges. Surprise prizes are awarded for smart plays, and the camper with the best decision-making earns the Game IQ Star.

  • Wednesday: Creativity takes the spotlight with wild socks, crazy hairstyles, and imaginative games. The camper with the most eye-catching style wins the Crazy Look Award.

  • Thursday: Campers show off their skills in shooting challenges, lightning games, and speed courses. The fastest player is crowned Speed Champion!

  • Friday: Our grand finale features a World Cup-style tournament, Coaches vs. CITs match, and MVP awards. Campers enjoy cheer competitions and end the week with a celebration to remember.

Camp Information

  • DC Way is committed to providing a safe, structured, and positive environment for every player, both on and off the field.

  • All DC Way coaches are certified, background-checked, and trained in First Aid, with years of experience working with children.
  • Each player is expected to bring their own water bottle, snack, and other belongings.

Chisholm Adventure & Soccer Camp offers a fun, energetic, and creative summer experience designed for young players of all levels. Campers enjoy structured soccer sessions, themed activity days, exciting team challenges, and confidence-building games in a supportive and playful environment. Every day is thoughtfully planned to encourage teamwork, skill growth, and joyful participation.

Who can participate?

Our camps are open to boys and girls 4 to 12 years old. Please note that we require 4-year-old children to be potty trained and able to follow directions.

Our focus is on enjoyment for every child who participates with us. As a result, our classes are designed to teach the full range of skills necessary for each age group.

Who are the coaches?

The DC Way coaches are a group of amazing men and women who have obtained a professional license to coach. We are truly proud to say that every member of our staff has exceptional personality traits and coaching skills such as a positive approach to coaching, honesty and fairness with players, a love for the game, a passion for teaching and instructing, and extensive knowledge of games, activities, and skills to develop players.

All of the DC Way coaches are certified soccer coaches with extensive experience working with children. Our coaches have all passed mandatory background checks, have at least two years of experience working with children, and have received First Aid training.

What are the benefits?

Campers build soccer fundamentals, improve coordination, and develop valuable life skills like communication, leadership, and resilience. The camp also promotes creativity, self-expression, and friendship – helping each child leave camp more confident, engaged, and excited to play. Plus, parents love the local convenience, caring staff, and the positive impact that lasts well beyond summer.

If you wish to purchase a DC Way T-shirt or a DC Way Soccer Ball, we have an option at the registration (+$25).

What should my child bring? What should my child wear?

All players should bring a water bottle, shin guards, sneakers, cleats, a hat, sunblock, lunch, snacks, and a soccer ball (optional).

Players younger than 6 years should wear tennis or athletic shoes (cleats are not needed).
