This fall, DC Way is bringing after-school soccer to Elsie Whitlow Stokes. Through games and skill-building activities, kids work on communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, all while staying active.
We focus on more than the game. Kids build real confidence, make friends, and try new things in a low-pressure setting where every skill level fits in.

At DC Way, we believe in making after-school time the best part of your child’s day! Our Stokes After School Program, designed for PK3 to 5th grades, blends the excitement of sports with important life lessons.
In our program, students dive into fun, high-energy soccer drills and games led by professional coaches who are all about making learning fun. Each session helps improve their skills on the field while fostering friendships, leadership, and a love for staying active. We create a positive, safe environment where every player gets to thrive and grow, not just as an athlete, but as a person.

DC Way’s Stokes After-School Program builds real skills through games kids actually look forward to, not just drills.

Our coaches bring real soccer experience to every session, but the game is really just the starting point. Along the way, students build the kind of skills that carry well beyond the field: how to bounce back after a tough play, how to communicate with teammates when things get frustrating, and how to lead by example even when nobody’s watching.
We keep the environment supportive and positive, so every kid, no matter their skill level, feels comfortable pushing themselves to try something new.
We offer fun, structured soccer classes focused on dribbling, passing, and teamwork, plus games and activities that keep students active and engaged. Beyond soccer, we emphasize confidence, responsibility, and sportsmanship so kids grow both on and off the field.
Our classes are open to boys and girls, PK3 through 5th grade.
DC Way coaches are certified soccer coaches who are passionate about working with kids. Every member of our staff brings a positive approach to coaching, a love for the game, and the experience to back it up. All coaches have passed mandatory background checks, have at least two years of experience working with children, and are First Aid certified.
We aim to cover all aspects of children’s development including physical, social-emotional, cognition, and communication. Our qualified coaches use a distinctive, fun, and high-energy approach to teaching all children the fundamentals of soccer! With a focus on cooperation and team-building, we encourage each child to learn, socialize, and mature at their own pace.
