STOKES AFTER-SCHOOL

This fall, DC Way is bringing after-school soccer to Elsie Whitlow Stokes. Through games and skill-building activities, kids work on communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, all while staying active.

We focus on more than the game. Kids build real confidence, make friends, and try new things in a low-pressure setting where every skill level fits in.

Scholarships are available for families in need.

This program is offered exclusively to Stokes students.

What To Bring:

Kickstart the Fun After School!

At DC Way, we believe in making after-school time the best part of your child’s day! Our Stokes After School Program, designed for PK3 to 5th grades, blends the excitement of sports with important life lessons.

In our program, students dive into fun, high-energy soccer drills and games led by professional coaches who are all about making learning fun. Each session helps improve their skills on the field while fostering friendships, leadership, and a love for staying active. We create a positive, safe environment where every player gets to thrive and grow, not just as an athlete, but as a person.

Why Join Us?

DC Way’s Stokes After-School Program builds real skills through games kids actually look forward to, not just drills.

  • Real Skill-Building: Ball control, passing, teamwork, and decision-making, taught through games, not lectures
  • Coaches Who Meet Kids Where They Are: Whether your child has never played before or already loves the game, sessions are built to fit every level
  • More Than Soccer: Kids build habits that carry past the field, showing up for their team, handling a tough play, being a good teammate
  • A Space to Try Something New: Small groups and encouraging coaches mean every kid feels comfortable stepping outside their comfort zone

Coaches Who Teach More Than Soccer

Our coaches bring real soccer experience to every session, but the game is really just the starting point. Along the way, students build the kind of skills that carry well beyond the field: how to bounce back after a tough play, how to communicate with teammates when things get frustrating, and how to lead by example even when nobody’s watching.

We keep the environment supportive and positive, so every kid, no matter their skill level, feels comfortable pushing themselves to try something new.
