Perfect for preschool through 4th grade, our clinics focus on building confidence, foot skills, and teamwork through creative games, exciting drills, and lots of encouragement. Whether your child is just starting or already loves the game, our clinics are a great way to stay active, make friends, and build a strong soccer foundation.

Weekly Skills Clinics

Gallaudet/RFK Schedule

Dates: March 23 – May 22 (8 sessions)

  • No practice on April 13-17

Ages & Time:

  • Preschool: Monday to Friday at 5:30-6:30 pm
  • Kindergarten: Monday to Friday at 6:30-7:30 pm
  • 1st-2nd Grade Girls: Monday to Friday at 7:30-8:30 pm
  • 1st-2nd Grade Boys: Monday to Friday at 7:30-8:30 pm

Location: Clinics will be held at Gallaudet University or the Fields at RFK Campus.

Fee: 8 Sessions $215 | One Day $30

What to Bring: Water bottle and shin guards

 

Sherwood Rec Schedule

First Cycle: March 2-27 (4 sessions)

Second Cycle: March 30 – May 1 (4 sessions)

Third Cycle: May 4-29 (4 sessions)

Meet Coach Marco – Director of Skills Clinics

Our Weekly Skills Clinics are led by Coach Marco, a passionate educator and experienced soccer coach dedicated to helping players grow on and off the field. With over 14 years of coaching experience and a background in physical education, Coach Marco brings energy, expertise, and care to every session.

He holds multiple certifications, including a U.S. Soccer 11v11 Online License, Safe Soccer Certification through U.S. Soccer, a Certification in Soccer Technical Management, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education.

Whether your child is building confidence or sharpening advanced skills, Coach Marco is here to guide the journey with patience and purpose.

Our training is powered by the world-renowned Coerver Method, a system designed to teach players through fun, challenging, and effective drills. Each session is packed with fast-paced activities that build confidence, improve ball control, and spark creativity.

Join our Weekly Skills Clinics for an exceptional soccer experience! Each week, players engage in a dynamic 1-hour session designed to challenge and inspire. Whether you’re a beginner or a more experienced player, our expert coaches create a fun, positive atmosphere where everyone can grow. Learn technical skills, creative play, and game intelligence, all while developing essential soccer fundamentals!

Program Information

  • DC Way is committed to providing a safe, structured, and positive environment for every player, both on and off the field.

  • All DC Way coaches are certified, background-checked, and trained in First Aid, with years of experience working with children.
  • Each player is expected to bring their own water bottle and other belongings.

  • If a session is canceled due to weather conditions, we will always schedule a make-up session.

What do we offer at Weekly Skills Clinics?

At our Weekly Skills Clinics, we offer specialized training focused on mastering soccer fundamentals. Players will improve key techniques such as dribbling, passing, shooting, ball control, and more. We combine precision, creativity, and fast-paced drills to help players develop their skills in a fun, supportive environment.

Who can participate?

Weekly Skills Clinics are open to boys and girls in preschool through 4th grade.

Who are the coaches?

The DC Way coaches are a group of amazing men and women who have obtained a professional license to coach. We are truly proud to say that every member of our staff has exceptional personality traits and coaching skills such as a positive approach to coaching, honesty and fairness with players, a love for the game, a passion for teaching and instructing, and extensive knowledge of games, activities, and skills to develop players.

All of the DC Way coaches are certified soccer coaches with extensive experience working with children. Our coaches have all passed mandatory background checks, have at least two years of experience working with children, and have received First Aid training.

What are the benefits?

Our clinics are designed to help your child grow as a player and as a teammate. Each session builds essential soccer skills like ball control, passing, and movement, while also improving technique, speed, decision-making, and creativity on the field.

Our curriculum focuses on:

  • Ball mastery and 1v1 confidence

  • Creating space and maintaining possession

  • Smart decision-making and close control

Beyond skill development, your child will gain confidence, improve coordination, and learn teamwork in a supportive, high-energy environment — all while having fun and making new friends!

How much does it cost?

Gallaudet/RFK:

  • The fee is $215 for 8 weeks.
  • The fee for the one day option is $30.

Sherwood Rec:

  • The fee is $80 for 4 weeks.
  • The fee for the one day option is $25.

If you wish to purchase a DC Way T-shirt or a DC Way Soccer Ball, we have an option at the registration (+$25).
