Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the soccer scene, the Junior Assistant position is your gateway to taking on responsibilities essential to becoming a DC Way Coach.
Junior Assistants have the added advantage of earning volunteer hours for school. In addition to gaining volunteer hours, this is a paid position.
Junior Assistants play a pivotal role in each session, serving as a voice of encouragement to players and campers, managing supplies, and even taking on refereeing responsibilities. This hands-on experience allows Junior Assistants to develop vital skills such as communication, confidence, and decisiveness.
As part of their development, Junior Assistants will have the valuable opportunity to learn from experienced coaches, further honing their skills and building upon the foundation established during their Counselor-in-Training program. This exposure prepares them for the advanced responsibilities of the Assistant Coach level.
