  • July 3, 15, 22, 29; August 5, 12
  • Make-up day is on August 12

  • Ages 7-10 at 5:00-6:00 pm
  • Ages 11-15 at 5:00-6:00 pm

Meet Coach Marco – Director of Goalkeeping School

Our Goalkeeping School is led by Coach Marco, a passionate educator and experienced soccer coach dedicated to helping players grow on and off the field. With over 14 years of coaching experience and a background in physical education, Coach Marco brings energy, expertise, and care to every session.

He holds multiple certifications, including a U.S. Soccer 11v11 Online License, Safe Soccer Certification through U.S. Soccer, a Certification in Soccer Technical Management, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education.

Whether your child is building confidence or sharpening advanced skills, Coach Marco is here to guide the journey with patience and purpose.

Weekly Schedule

At DC Way, we see goalkeeping as an exciting journey that demands courage, skill, and passion. Our weekly sessions are designed to guide young goalkeepers through every aspect of the game, ensuring they develop the key skills needed to excel. Here’s what they can expect:

  1. Warm-up routine, stretching, ball familiarity, and ready position
  2. Ways of catching, footwork, and positioning
  3. Shot stopping, diving, and parrying
  4. Distribution and 1v1 situations
  5. Penalty kicks and secrets of saving
  6. Decision making and group plays
  7. Recap, competitions, and bigger-sized games

Each 60-minute session delivers a complete goalkeeping experience—starting with a dynamic club-wide warm-up, then diving into group demonstrations, focused drills, and personalized coaching from certified goalkeeping instructors. Our weekly clinics are designed to strengthen the essential physical and mental skills goalkeepers need, from fearless diving saves to smart positioning and communication. With fun, engaging activities each week, players build confidence while learning how to lead their team from the back!

Joining our Goalkeeping School is the perfect way to unlock your child’s full potential as a goalkeeper. At DC Way, we provide specialized training designed to build not only technical skills like shot-stopping, diving, and positioning but also essential mental qualities such as confidence, decision-making, and game awareness.

Whether your child is just starting or looking to level up, our goalkeeping school ensures they develop the skills needed to command the field and stand out as a true game-changer!

Program Information

  • DC Way is committed to providing a safe, structured, and positive environment for every player, both on and off the field.

  • All DC Way coaches are certified, background-checked, and trained in First Aid, with years of experience working with children.
  • Each player is expected to bring their own water bottle and other belongings.

  • If a session is canceled due to weather conditions, we will always schedule a make-up session.

What do we offer at Goalkeeping School?

Our certified team runs weekly goalkeeping clinics to improve different physical and cognitive skills than outfield players to prepare our athletes for every situation in a game. All sessions will support beginners through advanced players.

Who can participate?

Our goalkeeping clinics are open for boys and girls ages 7 to 15.

Who are the coaches?

The DC Way coaches are a group of amazing men and women who have obtained a professional license to coach. We are truly proud to say that every member of our staff has exceptional personality traits and coaching skills such as a positive approach to coaching, honesty and fairness with players, a love for the game, a passion for teaching and instructing, and extensive knowledge of games, activities, and skills to develop players.

All of the DC Way coaches are certified soccer coaches with extensive experience working with children. Our coaches have all passed mandatory background checks, have at least two years of experience working with children, and have received First Aid training.

What are the benefits?

Goalkeepers need to possess a wide range of athletic skills which include talking to teammates, quick reflexes, covering angles, reading opponents, diving, and game with the feet.

At our clinics, we focus on ball familiarity, ready position, ways of catching, footwork, positioning, shot stopping, diving, parrying, distribution, 1v1 situations, penalty kicks, secrets of saving, decision-making, group plays, bigger-sized games, and more.

How much does it cost?

The fee is $145 for 6 weeks.

The fee for the one day option is $30.

If you wish to purchase a DC Way T-shirt or a DC Way Soccer Ball, we have an option at the registration (+$25).

What should my child bring? What should my child wear?

All players should bring a water bottle, shin guards, and goalie gloves (optional).

When does the next season start?

The summer season runs from July 3 to August 12.
