WORLD CUP SUMMER CAMP

Get ready for summer 2026 – World Cup year! Your child will celebrate the biggest soccer tournament in the world with a different country theme each week. From Team USA to Italy, they’ll play soccer games, learn about different playing styles, and compete in fun challenges all summer long.

Kids work on skills through drills and games, cool off with water play on hot days, and earn special prizes throughout the week. Every day brings new competitions, surprises, and plenty of goals.

Chisholm Elementary has been home to DC Way camps since 2015, and this year we’re bringing the excitement of the 2026 FIFA World Cup right to Capitol Hill. Spacious outdoor fields, an amazing playground, and indoor access to Hill Center for breaks make it the perfect spot for an active summer.

Sample Daily Schedule

Monday: Meet the Country – Kick off the week learning about this week’s country – its flag, famous players, and soccer style. Kids play games inspired by how that country plays and compete in fun challenges.

Tuesday: Skills & Drills Day – Focus on technical skills with drills inspired by legendary players from this week’s country. Work on dribbling, passing, and ball control through exciting games.

Wednesday: Challenge Day – Kids compete in individual contests like obstacle courses, accuracy challenges, and skill tests. Special prizes for effort and achievement.

Thursday: Jersey Day – Wear your favorite soccer jersey or team colors! High-energy games, shooting challenges, and 1v1 competitions. Learn signature moves from this week’s country.

Friday: World Cup Tournament Day – The big finale! Team tournaments, MVP awards, coaches vs. campers games, and celebration of the week. Prizes and fun all day.

What do we offer at World Cup Camp?

World Cup Camp is pure soccer with a different country theme each week. Kids play soccer games, work on skills through drills and challenges, compete in daily tournaments, and learn about how different nations play the game. Each week includes water play, special prizes, jersey days, and Friday World Cup tournaments. It’s nonstop action for kids who love soccer.

Who can participate?

Ages 3-12, all skill levels welcome. For our youngest campers (ages 3-4), we ask that they be potty trained and able to follow basic instructions.

Who are the coaches and teachers?

All DC Way coaches and teachers are background-checked, First Aid trained, and experienced working with children. Our soccer coaches are licensed and passionate about the game, while our art and activity teachers are talented professionals who know how to engage kids creatively. They all create a positive environment where every child feels supported. We’re proud of our team – they’re the reason families keep coming back.

You can add a DC Way t-shirt or soccer ball to your registration for $25.

What should my child bring and wear?

All players should bring a water bottle, shin guards, sneakers, cleats, a hat, sunblock, snacks, and lunch (for full-day campers). Players younger than 6 years should wear tennis or athletic shoes (cleats are not needed).

We recommend applying sunscreen and bug spray at home in the morning. Staff will help reapply sunscreen in the afternoon.
