Discover how Kids Academy, League, Clinics, and Challenge Level work together at DC Way
Fall is here, and it’s the perfect time to set your child up for success both on and off the field. At DC Way, our programs are designed to grow with your player — from their very first introduction to sports to their first taste of competition. Whether your child is just beginning, eager to sharpen skills, or ready for the next challenge, there’s a pathway built just for them.
Kids Academy: The Perfect Start
If your child isn’t quite ready for matches or you’d like them to explore different sports at a young age, Kids Academy is the ideal beginning. This program now features both soccer sessions and multi-sport sessions (including football, basketball, baseball, tennis, and more). Your child will build balance, coordination, and confidence while discovering what they love. Our goal is simple: to provide a fun, positive, safe, and non-competitive environment where children can grow, socialize, and stay active.
Capitol Hill League: Saturday Match Day Fun
For preschool through 2nd grade, our Capitol Hill League is where many soccer journeys begin. Every Saturday, players step onto the field with teammates, building confidence through real matches in a fun, supportive environment. It’s soccer the way it should be at this age — joyful, social, and exciting! Families can also add optional Weekly Skills Clinics for extra learning during the week.
Weekly Skills Clinics: Technique Meets Creativity
Our clinics keep players moving, motivated, and growing. These sessions focus on footwork, ball control, and confidence through age-appropriate challenges and games. Fast-paced, engaging, and designed for every level, clinics are the perfect bridge between weekend play and competitive environments. Parents love them because young athletes leave sweaty, smiling, and more skilled every week.
Challenge Level: Stepping Up the Game
For 3rd–6th graders who are ready for more, Challenge Level offers the perfect next step. Players train weekly with their team and compete in Metro Community League matches on Sundays. They’ll learn not just how to play, but how to think the game — building tactical awareness, resilience, and teamwork in a competitive but supportive setting.
How the Pathway Works
Our programs are designed to complement one another:
- Kids Academy: Explore soccer and multi-sport fun in a safe, playful environment.
- Capitol Hill League: Build confidence, play real matches, enjoy the game.
- Skills Clinics: Sharpen skills, try creative moves, grow as a player.
- Challenge Level: Apply those skills in competitive matches, learn resilience, and experience the thrill of real competition.
Together, these create a balanced weekly rhythm of Play → Learn → Compete.
This fall, give your child the perfect mix of learning, fun, and challenge.
