Here, young learners explore, create, and move through a rotating mix of art, STEM, sports, and storytelling — all in one of DC’s most beautiful and historic landmarks.

What Makes Our Program Special

Our partnership with the Hill Center means children experience after-school fun in a secure, inspiring environment steeped in history, just blocks from the U.S. Capitol. Every week features a rotating schedule of 10 themed enrichment classes, blending arts, sports, science, and imaginative play — all designed for Pre-K through 3rd Grade.

Our 10 Rotating Enrichment Classes

  • Hands-On STEM & Builders Club – Build bridges, towers, balloon rockets, and more while tackling fun logic and math challenges.
  • Art Studio & Jersey Design – Paint, color, and create wearable art.
  • Camp Skit & Commercial Challenge – Let imaginations soar on stage.
  • Science Explorers – Slime, volcanoes, and surprising experiments.
  • Active Game Challenges – Freeze Dance, obstacle courses, soccer-themed games, and playful competitions.
  • Mission Impossible & Camp Olympics – Adventure-themed obstacle courses.
  • Chess & Board Games Zone – Strategy, focus, and fun.
  • Story Circle & Comic Book Creation – Bring stories to life in words and pictures.
  • Language & Culture Class – Learn new languages and global traditions through fun activities.
  • Letter Writing & Creative Cards – Share messages with friends, family, and community.

What To Bring:

A Day at the Hill Center

Sample Daily Schedule:

  • 3:15 PM – Safe walking school pick-up from Shirley Chisholm ES, Watkins ES, and other nearby schools based on interest.
  • 3:30 PM – Group check-in
  • 3:40 PM – Snack time
  • ⁠4:00 PM – First enrichment activity (Art, STEM, or Active Play)
  • 4:45 PM – Second activity (Games, Science, or Storytelling)
  • 5:30 PM – Wind-down with board games or creative projects
  • 6:00 PM – Parent pick-up at the Hill Center

  • Days: Monday–Friday

Pricing & Enrollment

  • $40/day or $150/week — billed monthly or weekly
  • Scholarships available upon request

Payments are non-refundable; prorated refunds may be considered for extended medical absences with a written request.

Do I need to be a DC resident to participate?

No — our program is open to all families and schools across the DC area.

Do you provide snacks?

No, we do not provide snacks. Please pack a small snack for your child if needed.

Who are the coaches?

The DC Way coaches are a group of amazing men and women who have obtained a professional license to coach. We are truly proud to say that every member of our staff has exceptional personality traits and coaching skills such as a positive approach to coaching, honesty and fairness with players, a love for the game, a passion for teaching and instructing, and extensive knowledge of games, activities, and skills to develop players.

All of the DC Way coaches are certified soccer coaches with extensive experience working with children. Our coaches have all passed mandatory background checks, have at least two years of experience working with children, and have received First Aid training.

How do I check my child in and out?

We use a secure digital check-in/out system.

Are payments refundable?

No, but prorated refunds are considered for medical absences.

What if my child misses a session?

We can review written requests for prorated credit in case of illness or emergency.

Is this program open to all skill levels?

Yes! Activities are inclusive and designed for all experience levels.

Can I sign up for just one or two days a week?

Absolutely. Choose the days that work best for your family.
